Liberty University Flames Football Military Appreciation Night

Liberty University is a big part of our area, and its a fun experience is to attend a Flames football game! The Flames paid special tribute to our veterans and others with the Military Appreciation game - complete with Project Vigil saluting boy on hand for his tribute.

Craddock Terry Hotel in Downtown Lynchburg

The Craddock Terry Hotel was the dream of Hal Craddock, local architect, as he had a vision for the downtown revitalization and how the old shoe warehouse would become a highlight of visitors to the Lynchburg area.

Lynchburg City Market in Downtown Lynchburg

The Lynchburg Community Market was a meeting place for area farmers, where they would bring their locally grown goods and offer them to the public for sale.  The Market is a tradition in the area- every Saturday, but you need to come early as things usually sell out!  The Market also operates full time now, Monday-Saturday for craft, retail and food vendors.

The Lynchburg-Visitors-Center, located downtown on Church St. offers area information to all visitors.  A first stop for any visitor to the area, the Center offers information on all attractions, events, maps and more!

Kemper Street Station is home to the Amtrak train depot, as well as the new Greyhound Bus terminal. Lynchburg's trial run of passenger rail service daily from the city to Washington DC, and back, has been highly successful.

Sprayground at Riverside Park

Riverside Park is located on Rivermont Avenue in the City of Lynchburg.  The "Sprayground", a water feature for kids, allows for hours of playtime.  Take a picnic lunch, enjoy the tennis courts, the train exhibit, trails, and the park!

Lynchburg Museum-Downtown Lynchburg

Step back in time to discover some of the history of Lynchburg at the Lynchburg Museum, located on Court Street in the City. Always open on First Fridays for tours and you can ride the trolley to other downtown attractions!
